A brief response to Ed Catmull and Amy Wallace on creative teams, tension, and learning through failure.

Great book! Ed Catmull draws on his experience leading Pixar and Disney Animation to explore how large creative teams can work well together.

What stood out to me was the willingness to embrace tension and treat failure as an unavoidable part of pursuing excellence. People do not have to agree about everything for a team to do good work. The disagreement can be useful, and mistakes can become something to learn from.

That is the insight I took from this book: building a strong team includes making room for the difficult, imperfect parts of creating something worthwhile.
